Terrible ice maker

this is a really really nice fridge- size, design, accessibility, esthetics but the ice maker is absolutely the worst. the fridge is level, water pressure good, settings all correct and still little to no ice production. we have to buy bags of ice.

would not recommend purchasing, had this model for 2 months and already giving me problems, i was getting ice using the dispenser, and once i was done the fridge starting making a loud clicking sound that hasn't stopped , i called the number for service they set up an appointment for me through a contractor who can't come out for another 4 days. one of my neighbors has the same model he had issues with it as well, very disappointing

Absolutely the worst ice maker and fridge ever

not a good fridge if you need more than 8 cubes of ice per day. the ixe maker is a totally different design which uses cold air blown from a tiny slot in rear of feeezer. there are no cooling coils in the ice maker lkke quality products have. also found 8 degree difference between fridge shelves. some shelves freeze items while others are much warmer. maybe samsung has some better models but i would strongly avoid this one if you want ice. one gkod thing... it looks really nice and is large inside. cant think of much other useful information at this point. if you buy one and are not happy dont hesitate like we did. return it asap. theg cant fix it.

Really a great Fridge

we have had this fridge for 8 months. we sincerely love it. i rated it 4 stars because of the ice maker. it makes great ice and filter water, the storage bin is too small. i wish we could buy a bigger storage bin for the ice maker.

Good owners Manual

i like the non protruding door handles. they give a clean line appearance. comes with a thin protective film around the front which i found difficult to remove. in my experience this film is firmly attached under the door gasket and tears away leaving behind fragments. the manual gives clear instructions. for example, to change the water filter you will first turn off your water supply valve. after a simple twist and pull of the old filter you insert the new filter and twist. the manual then suggests a 7 minute water line purge. i like the special setting to have 3 days of accelerated cooling. my experience is that all food has remained chilled or frozen.

Missing accessories and no way to fix the problem

the 1st time post install trying to use water dispenser we found out that there was no drip try. trying to lower the temp we found out no manual given. when looking to see what else due to above two problems we found installers used our old hookups not new we bought, and we were charged for this. we have been on phone over 6 hours and apparently there is no drip tray for this refrigerator and no user manual save website. since these are standard on all refrigerators, i have ever seen this is a major flaw in the design of this new refrigerator. this is sad as we like the space, silent, and layout but cutting simple corners have cost us the value of this refrigerator and for which i cannot recommend.

Ok but this unit has a design flaw

while we receive this refrigerate on time as listed after using it for two week i have two feedback. #1 - no butter tray compartment. no big deal but we use one for 20 years and now we miss that feature #2 the biggest issue is the water dispenser is not center or close to the lever. so you almost always need two hands to dispense water. should be position further back so you press the level while holding the cup/glass bottle with one hand.

fridge not up to what they said

fridge is a nice size and love no handles but thats it the freezer is on hotest setting and is iceing over inside on all shelves and on walls the water takes 20 minutes to fill a glass and the ice makes maybe 5 ice at a time in maybe 2 hours time and the ice maker inside freezer is all frozen over inside where ice drops to glass very sad on this one waiting now on money back in bank so i can find another one that works.
