The knobs are SO sensitive that barely bumping them will turn the burner on HIGH. First time caught a wood cutting board on fire. Thought it was a fluke. Second time sat a Rubbermaid container down only to smell burning plastic and full flame again. Took all the knobs off just to be safe. Nope. Somehow even without knobs even the burner caught a first aide kit on fire. This stove has to go now

First time I used the oven cleaning function the front left burner stopped working. URange was only 2 years old with limited use. Sadly no longer under warranty after 1 year. You cant make a product last more than a year???

This is the last oven I would recommend to anyone who wants anything to be baked thoroughly. I have been using this oven for a year and a half and I have not been able to bake any casserole rolls cookies bars turkey roast etc thoroughly. Everything I bake is overdone on the outside and undercooked in the middle. It has been extremely frustrating I have had service technicians out multiple times and they have replaced parts over and over and even tried to bake something with no luck and I am still dealing with this a year and a half later. Please do yourself a favor and find another oven and/or brand to purchase.

My range is only two years old and barely used. After two years I used the cleaning cycle due to minimal use. After that one of the burners wont ignite unless another burner has been turned on. Come on the range is only 2 years old with a 1 year free warranty

The front control panel needs to be redesigned

The panel on the range is slanted and it is easy to turn on the control knobs if you lean against the range at all. Also water can get into the rubber seal on the top of the panel and any food cooked in a frying pan spatters onto the control knobs. It has been a problem since I got the range otherwise I enjoy having it. Love the oven.

Thje burners turn on so easy just walking pass almost turns them on. The top is not easy to clean always looks dirty and scratches. I have had glass tops for ever and I have loved them till this one. The oven does not keep temperature. VERY VERY VERY dissatisified.

First a fuse went caused by using the self cleaning feature which repairman advised not to use or it will blow another fuse. Now the temperature in the oven is off by about 90 degrees from what it is supposed to be making cooking very difficult.

The oven does not get to the right temperature. It is usually off by about 100 degrees and the food doesnt cook correctly. Also after using the self cleaning function it blew a fuse. Repairman cautioned not to use that function anymore. Will only blow fuse again..

My wife has had nothing but trouble trying to bake with this range since the day we bought it. We bought various thermometers but oven temperatures were very variable and baking results even more so. Roasting a turkey has also been a problem. The AE technician discovered that there is no bottom baking element. We have ordered a replacement range from another manufacturer. The cook top however has worked well and reliably.

Listen to the reviews The first nightmare was when I hit the burner knob with a grocery bag not realizing the knob was sensitive. I walked out of the room and when I came back my groceries were on fire My food started to cook unevenly burnt on top raw in the middle. One by one things stopped working. Oven burners over heat you have to stay right with it or your food will burn. Self cleaning opinions stopped working. We tried to fix it it blew up again. Its impossible to clean the glass top always looks dirty. Dont let good reviews fool you This is garbage and you will not get any help from LG.

The oven does not heat to the pre-set temperature when the indicator alerts you to oven temperature being ready. I have to wait at least 15 minutes for it to actually reach the pre-set temp. This has been verified with 2 separate oven thermometers.

Bought this stove 2/2017. Burners are hard to control heat. Only used quick clean until this year. When I used the clean cycle the oven door locked and the stove completely shut down. The thermal fuse was replaced. Now the oven does not hold the temperature. We spoke to LG they sent a new part but it did not fit our stove. As of last week we are waiting for a call back from tech support. I purchased all LG appliance at the same time. The wash machine top is completely rusted. My dishwasher racks are starting to rust. The microwave fan does nothing. I would never recommend or buy another LG Appliance.

I have had this stove for several years. Cons: The bake selector dial has broken off. After shutting off the stovetop it takes some time before the burner cools off so you need to remove the pot/pan from the burner so that the food doesnt overcook. The glass cooktop scratches very easily and there are burned on stains I cannot get off with anything. Pros: The oven cooks very consistenty and can accomodate a large turkey 25+ pounds.

The knobs paint is rubbing off not even one year

WE bought this last thanksgiving it works great I love it however the knobs paint has been rubbing off over the last 4 months. We dont scrub them hard either. The paint is also coming off the front which shows which burner is what. I guess I can try and remember them but its not good the paint isnt strong enough to last even a year. I have to look for knob replacements already Use the proper paint and this wouldnt be such an embarrassing mistake? The knobs also have some odd stain on them that doesnt clean off so they always look splattered.

I am happy with my purchase. The burners work well with one that heats up especially quickly and 2 that are adjustable smaller or larger area. The oven works well too and the interior blue finish is quite attractive. The self-cleaning function is great. My only regret is not considering an induction range which Im sure LG produces. The front is not easy to clean and tends to get spattered with oil. One must use a cloth to remove soap remains if you want it to look pristine.

Ive had this for over a year now and weve put it through some stress the top is great easy to clean and consistent heat. The oven is amazing especially with convection. Were serious cooks so we have a separate thermometer that lives in the oven and can say that the temp. readings are accurate and consistent. Only issue Ive had is connecting the unit to Wi Fi which hasnt been working for some reason.

At first we liked this range but then noticed the oven temperature was off verified with IR thermometer. Made adjustments as per owners manual but still not accurate. Next the convection fan failed and stopped working altogether. Also with the controls positioned on the slanted front panel if you are short it is easy to accidentally rub against them and unknowingly switch on a burner or the oven. Too bad... this seemed like a nice range.

Starting getting F3 codes just after 1 year warrenty was up. Needs need touch pad but the part number in the specs does not match the part in the oven. No one at LG has been able to provide the corrent part number to fix this issue havent had a working oven for 5 months.

Broken oven control knob

We bought the electric range in the Best Buy in November 2018 and also a three year protection plan. We basically used the cooktops most of time and only used the oven function several time during the 3.5 years. To our surprise the oven control knob fell off from the base literally fell off today. We were more surprised by the material of the knob internal including the stem. It is a piece of plastic even though the knob itself is stainless steel. I also found more complaints of the same issue on the internet. The sudden yield of the knob internal material is likely due to either due to defect or inappropriate selection of the material. It should never happen to a 3.5 year old range-oven.

We have had several repairmen here about the heat of the burners and oven. The last man did a lot of work and things are better. I like the stove pretty oven and hope it holds up for a few more years since our warranty is almost expired. The burners turn on when you clean around them or rub up against them. Not a good thing.

We bought that range as we liked the style and the features. When using it we found out that the cooking field is hard to keep clean and the oven in convection mode does not heat even. The worst the service is terrible. Sent an email for service for the oven. Had contact sent pictures of the identification label. Never heard again from LG. Complained at BBB. LG answered I should send an email or call. Sent an email no reaction. Complained at the site Share Your Voice with the LG President. Got an answer from a friendly lady. She tried to have the range serviced. Got a call from a mechanic. Never heard again from him. Today another mechanic was here. Asked us to bake some stuff to see the if it happens again. We are on the way back to Europe until October. Dont know whether we start from scratch coming back. After having a fridge with a broken compressor which was repaired but the food was destroyed we would not buy LG again.

I have had 2 LG electric ranges. I live the look easy to clean and performance. However I have repeat failures where oven overheats during self clean cycle and requires technician repair To use self clean I must manually pull range out roughly 12 to help w cooling.

Had this Appliance for a few years now. I love the look but if you are going to purchase a range with burner knobs on the front PLEASE lock them when not in use. Yesterday I somehow bumped the burner knob with a bag or something because when I was about 35 minutes away from my house I received a fire alarm notice Luckily my alarm company called it straight into the fire department. I had a decorative wooden noodle board on the stovetop. Bumping the knob without knowing it started a fire. Firemen said we were lucky. Be careful Guests in the home have also bumped them and turned on the burners. Always lock them.

Plastic knob shafts

All the knob shafts on this stove are metal except for the bake knob. That is made of a hard plastic which snaps off easily. When it breaks however the oven can still be operated by attaching pliers to the small piece that is left. Why is this the only shaft that is made of plastic? Quality of LG products have declined. No better than any other brand out there today just more expensive.

I bought this about a month ago and love it. It is a beautiful range. The enamel oven is gorgeous and the convection cooks fast. Ive had to learn how to reduce cooking times where necessary because it does such a great job quickly. The glass top heats up super fast. The lock feature is super smart and we use it for sure because Ive accidentally turned on a nob a couple of times.
