I love the ice balls and they are so fun and festive I bought this craft ice refridgerator 3 years ago and of course after the warranty is over the ice maker broke. It is made of little plastic parts that apparently crack and break easily. I had to purchase a new one and it came broken as well and now have #3 installed and it works.

I thought I was going to be upset with this refrigerator when after a year the ice machine not the craft ice was not working and an error code came up. Easy enough the error code was discussed with LG service who walked me through a simple process to clean the back vent my fault because of cat hair and a defrost and we have not had an issue since. Nice fridge but compressor replaced already

Purchased this a little over a year ago and the compressor went out on the unit. Took a month to get it fixed but that was due to the local repair person who was in training at the time and had to come out again to fix his mistake. Thankfully we paid for a Home Depot warranty and gave us $150 for a small fridge while we were waiting. We love the craft ice though and the door in door feature.

drawer design and error messages

Not super excited about the fridge. For a couple of reasons. 1st the meat drawer in the fridge cant be opened unless you open both of the front doors. Seems a bit wasteful. 2nd Ive only had it for a few months and Im already getting error messages about the artisanal ice maker. I rarely use it especially now that its winter. But apparently whatever is wrong with it requires a service visit according to the email I got and the app.

I purchased this refrigerator from Lowes and the first 3 to 4 months were great. Then the CRAFT ice maker started to give me trouble with dispensing the CRAFT ice balls. The balls would stick in the ice mold and make a loud noise when attempting to eject the ice from the mold. The sensors on the ice maker did not recognize that the ice was still in the mold and would attempt to refill the mold. This would send waves of water into the ice bin. This issue was repaired 4 times so far with the last repair 17 Oct 2023. The repair was to install an ice maker that appeared very similar to the defective one. I honestly expected more from LG. It appears that they will spend money to continue to repair and I really just want a replacement. NOT AN LG replacement. For the cost I thought this would be GREAT. LIFES NOT GOOD

Best Fridge Ive Ever Owned

I looked for the biggest most highly rated fridge on the market and this was it. A year later it has met my expectations with just one flaw - the cocktail ice maker stopped working after 1 year. Not a big deal because I rarely make use of it. I love how spacious well lit and how easy it is to find stuff in here. I use the hidden door to store open bottles of wine which are a pain to store in most fridges. The water pressure coming out of the fridge is great I dont have to wait all day to fill a water bottle. The freezer drawers are very functional allowing you to quickly get to what you need and see everything.

A Lemon

Both ice makers failed multiple times. Within the first year I had over 10 service calls. LG service when I called multiple times was not helpful. The machine was a lemon and they would not do anything to help me. Very poor customer service. I spent a lot of money on a fridge that did not perform up to standard.

Great Features but low reliability

We love our LG with all its volume and the craft ice and door in door All great features. I only rate it a 3 because unfortunately there is a reliability issue. The evaporator fan gets blocked with Ice. This requires a defrost to solve which is far from reasonable think melting icecream and other frozen foods Eventually the evaporator fan motor failed. Was very happy with smart diagnostic telling me exactly what went wrong and was fairly easy to replace again days without fridge freezer but now working again fine

We bought this refrigerator to replace our previous LG after 18 years. We loved the craft ice feature and purchased this model for that reason and additionally the extra capacity within our current measurements. The craft ice maker stopped working 8 months after purchasing and is yet to be replaced a month later. I have read reviews also stating there is a class action lawsuit against LG for the failure of ther craft ice makers. Needless to say we are a bit disappointed.

Overall its and excellent refrigerator. Its spacious and convenient. I love the dual open door that allows you to only open up what is stored in the door...and it is accessible from either side. My only concern is the lower icemaker is not working but has a recall...hoping they can fix it. I wasnt sure if I would like the bottom freezer drawer but it has been convenient and I have had less challenges with storage compared to a side by side.

Design Flaw in Evaporator / defrost components

I was in love with this refrigerator and the craft ice and great amount of space up until after a year it started to have ice build up on the evaporator fan and got Error FF E. I would then defrost the freezer and it would work find for a few months then do it again then one time I was traveling for a long time and left it with error code and when I returned the evaporator motor had burned out and needed replacement. I have been waiting two weeks with no motor as the part was back ordered at LGParts. Overall it is a great product but I believe there is a design flaw as many suffer this ice buildup problem which is not acceptable for a frost free freezer

I have had issues from the start. However up until a month ago I just lived with them. However I got a 1F E error message. Tried all the recommended fixes via Google and online sites because the LG Service wants to schedule you 2 months out for service. Totally unexceptable. I brought this 3 weeks ago and already the inside led lights went out. Called the lg repair as it is under warranty and they have to order all the lights. This also had 2 ice makers. One with small cubes and one in the freezer. The one in the freezer never fills the bin. It drops 3-6 large ice balls every 24 hours. We use a lot of ice in our house so thierr is never enough.This i thought was a great feature in the store but if you love ice.. this refrigerator isnt for you

Faulty Craft Ice Maker

I bought this refrigerator in February 2021. I have had three craft ice makers installed due to the craft ice maker having some type of defect where it stops working and according to three different repairmen it can only be replaced. Now my craft ice maker is not working again and once again I am waiting for the ice maker as it is on back order. This has happened each time I have had the ice maker replaced. Out of the two years that I have owned the refrigerator the craft ice maker has been out of service approximately one third of the time. The refrigerator and the standard ice maker work great.

However I received excellent customer service over the phone and a new ice maker was sent to me within a week at no charge. Im hoping I wont have any issues with the replacement.
