Worked well for a year - then didnt

I purchased this machine from Home Depot on July 9 2017 and it was delivered installed on August 9 2018. On January 10 2019 the dishwasher stopped powering on at all - no response from the touch panel whatsoever. Thankfully I purchased a SquareTrade Warranty in the unlikely event this happened but believe it is unfortunate that an extended warranty is a necessity when making big purchases like these. Overall the machine worked well but designing a machine with components that fail after 1 year and not including it in the the basic warranty stings a bit.

No more water spots

In November I updated my dishwasher. My old machine was no longer performing well at all. My dishes and glasses were ALWAYS spotty. Frustrating Dishwasher

We purchased this dishwasher in Nov 2016. It worked really well for about 1-1/2 years then began have problems. When the dishwasher was turned on it would run through a partial cycle and then act like it was finished but wasnt. The end of cycle chime would signal but cycle was incomplete. After several days I called a service company to check it out. After the men came out I was told by them to call LG and request a control panel which would still be under warranty - 5 years for control panel. Also was told to turn off the circuit breaker wait 10 minutes and try again this worked as a temporary fix. An email from LG informed me to upload a copy of proof of purchase. After submitting we heard nothing from LG. The dishwasher decided to work for a few months then began to stop or work off and on again. Called LG again and was told that I had to call only LG approved service companies to prove that it was the control panel that was the problem this would of course cost us another service call. After several phone calls we decided to turn the circuit breaker off and on again since we were leaving town for the holidays and the service company that was recommended would not be able to complete the call and order a part before we left home. I now have a long list of dates and times that the dishwasher does not complete a cycle or wont come on at all. The control panel in front has blinked frequently even flashed like Christmas lights a random single chime also goes off the full end of cycle chime goes off at random times and does not mean the cycle is finished and water has been left in the bottom of the tub. It is a pain to have to go to the garage and turn off the circuit breaker wait at least 10 minutes often two times just to get the dishes washed. It now been 2 years and again today the dishwasher wont work circuit breaker had to be turned off twice for 10 minutes. Finally began cycle still waiting for it to finish keeping our fingers crossed. We would not recommend this model. We were told not to buy an LG produce but didnt listen to good advice.

Purchased this model as opposed to another LG because of better reviews. Weve only used the dishwasher twice but no problems. Its much quieter than our previous dishwasher which is a great advantage and dishes come out clean spot free and largely dry especially when using a finish rinse aid and extra drying time. Automatic settings seem to be perfectly adequate - no need so far to customize cycles and times. Stainless steel exterior is slightly harder to keep smudge free than expected even with stainless steel cleaner. Only minor issue is that bottom rack seems to come off track if not pulled out straight. Not a big deal. Pleased so far.

The looks and quietness is very nice of this dishwasher. HOWEVER it is very hard to operate as far as starting the dishwasher. It take several attempt for it to start and when it does start it takes at least 10 minutes before it kick in. This is a replacement dishwasher as the original one I bought the front control panel did not work and never started

I wanted to wait some time before submitting a review and a little over two months after installation I could not be happier with this dishwasher. We had considerable problems with our previous dishwasher from a different brand but this LG has proven to be substantially quieter while providing more thorough and consistent cleaning. I havent noticed any streaking or spotting everything comes out clean and as long as I remember to use drying agent the items are immediately ready for use. The dishwasher even has a cute jingle at the end of its cycle that is surprisingly endearing.

I love my new dishwasher. The stainless steel inside always appears clean and it does a wonderful job on my dishes. I didnt use the drying on my old dishwasher so dont even miss it on this one. My dishes are clean dry and streak free. The stainless exterior matches my other appliances and remains fingerprint free

Door cracked at the top

I had this dishwasher for two years. It runs great. But this past month after it was running for about 10 minutes I heard a pop. while unloading I noticed the crack in the top of the door. As this is where all the controls are I was concerned and called lg .they said it was not covered .i am very disappointed inLg. I guess I have to wait for this crack to impact the operation of the control before someone will address it

Received warranty service after 8 months of use

It is very quiet and efficiency. We mostly uses it with auto mode and never had problem. However after 8 months of constant usage grinding sound came up from motor even though the unit has working properly. We ended up to call repair technician and he replaced motor under warranty. Now it works as advertise again but need to see long term reliability.

Poor quality dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher on 01/29/2017 48-Decibel Built-in Dishwasher Stainless Steel Common: 24-in Actual: 23.75-in ENERGY STAR Item #: 713598 Model #: LDF5545ST From the first month onwards this has been giving problem. Since I did not buy extra warranty I cannot contact the manufacturer to help. I called LG support and they were polite and asked me to contact the authroized service agent in Sunnyvale CA and one on East bay. The authorized service agent does not respond at all. I have given up repairing this unit and trying to get rid of it. I will never buy any LG brand equipment anymore

Great wash but noisy

I bought this dishwasher along with 4 other LG appliances for a new build. It washes dishes very efficiently but is noisy compared to my last dishwasher. I would recommend it for washing quality but if you are in a small house as we are the noise might be a bit of an issue.

Had some initial concerns about adequate drying since it does not have a heating element for that purpose but were pleasantly surprised to find that it dries and cleans just as well as our previous dishwasher which used a heating element. NIGHTMARE

Hello everyone I bought this dishwasher less than 10 days ago.we use the dishwasher once a week tried using the dishwasher for the first time...the timer kept on flashing tried finding the trouble shooting video tried smart diagnosis for 3 hours all in vain.. next day called LG tried trouble shooting 2 times came early from work tried again did not work...I was told that the service technician will have. a look but not today but I have to wait 5 days for a brand new appliance..and yes they dont work on weekends so have to take a day of from work..on top of that if that unit does not work LG on their description might change it but I am afraid that I have to pay the installation charges as the representatives told me they will try but cant guarantee Horrible experience...

No problems so far. Settings are a bit confusing. Had to refer to manual for clarification. Looks like a lot of settings but they are all very similar. I wish the power pads werent on the front. We have accidentally leaned against the power button and the machine started up when we didnt want it to.

I bought this a few months ago and do not like the way it does not have drying feature like the older dishwashers. I can not get hot enough water in the machine for the dishes.. I have NO hot water tank issues.... scalding water comes out of the faucet but not into the machine. Wrong choice of appliance this time. Door is VERY thin and cheap and cleaning is horrible...you have to use special cleaner to get all spots/ streaks off.. very unhappy...

I bought this thru Home depot they dont deliver so I drove 95 miles to get it and the installation kit. Used the kit and all went well as far as installing it. BUT the test to run the first test cycle. It powered up fine I selected normal to run and pushed the Start button. Here is where everything goes wrong. Lights would flash but the unit would not start. I tried resetting and starting over but the same issue flashing lights. I re-read all the install instructions to verify I did not leave anything out. A tried the phone app and it did connect to the unit but would say Nothing was wrong. Hours later I called support and she had me poiwer up and push start WAHOO it started. Went thru a complete cycle. The next day I had to work so the wife loaded the dishwasher and proceeded to start No Go. She called support and for over an hour went thru numerous control settings still NO GO. The support agent told us to return the unit. This time i ordered a different Brand and had to drive another 95 to return it. So I drove a total of 380 miles to actually install a different brand unit and I just installed it in about 2 hours and it is running just fine. We own a LG refrigerator which had the control board go bad once and I replaced it and now this dishwasherI doubt if I will ever buy another LG product

I bought this dishwasher 15 months ago and it started giving me problems two months past the one year warranty. The display is giving me an LE error and has stopped working completely. Im knowledgeable regarding appliances and tried to get a little help from LG to pinpoint the problem but was told to contact a certified LG technician. My LG microwave also stopped working after 18 months. The broken piece was still under warranty but it needed to be replaced by a certified technician which was going to cost me twice as much as a new microwave. I furnished my kitchen completely with LG appliances as they are very aesthetically pleasing and they work well when they work. However they dont last long and one by one they have been thrown away looking like new.

I bought this machine to replace my old Maytag of 25 years. Lowes installation team did an excellent job installing it. It has a myriad of features that give you a lot of options to wash dishes. I like the auto option so far the best. It senses the condition of the dishes and washes accordingly. Great machine.

Didnt work from the start

I purchased this new dishwasher and for the first time in my life the dishwasher didnt dry itself out. What made it more complicated is that though the water drained out completely and dishes were dry the washer remained wet and damp. Though I fully read my manual and went through all the protocols recommended when I called warranty I got such a run around it took 3 phone calls and the claim that the reason the washer didnt dry itself out was because it needed rinse aid. The fact that I have had dishwashers my entire life over 50 years and never had this issue seems ridiculous. But more so Im so disappointed in the product I wouldnt consider buying another LG product.

Excellent performance worth every penny

Previously we owned a Samsung in the same price range. This LG dishwasher has outperformed that one in every single aspect. Dishes bowls deep cups silverware it all just comes out clean and dry We own a 230lb English Mastiff his food and water bowls often look like a Jackson Pollock painting after a week. We ran these through the turbo cycle 1hr and they came out spotless Our last dishwasher only lasted 4.5 years so we are hoping to get more out of this LG. But we have faith we currently have a front load washer/dryer set that are coming up on 10 years running like champs So with this in mind we literally just replaced our samsung refrigerator that died last week with an LG model: LSXS26326S. And as our other samsung appliances die off we will most likely continue to upgrade to LG

Measure Dimensions

Queen will always take responsibility for mistakes that we make; however taking proper measurements at home is the responsibility of the customer. Do not forget to measure doorways, any space that the appliance must travel through to get to its destination, as well as the final installation place. We can provide cut sheets and detailed specs for all of our appliances, so check with your sales- person. Unfortunately, if returns happen due to a customer's negligence to measure properly, we must charge a 20% restocking fee to cover our costs and re-sell an unboxed piece. If desired, our drivers can come out to measure ahead of time for a small fee. Please note: We do not remove door molding or cut any cabinetry.

Delivery Time Windows

We understand that all customers have jobs and personal obligations, which is why we are committed to giving you a 2-3 hour time window for your delivery. Never should you have to wait around all day for a delivery, as with much of our competition. Please understand that we must route the truck geographically, so any special delivery time requests will be taken very seriously but can never be guaranteed. Your time window will be set the evening before and you will receive it through a phone call from our Phoenixville branch. If you have not received your time window by 7:30 pm, please call 610-933-2900 (Option 2 for Retail Sales) and check with a Sales Associate.

Directions and Cross Streets

Your salesperson is responsible for asking all the necessary details to get your new appliances to your home, however if they forget to ask for the nearest cross street please call and let them know. GPS and online maps are not always accurate, so the nearest cross street and any directions or details that you feel will help them are greatly appreciated and necessary for our drivers (i.e. low bridges, unmarked roads, landmarks, etc.).

Standard Installations

If our delivery team deems any installation as 'non-standard' they will require your approval and signature before proceeding. In addition, an additional fee may be charged depending on the nature of the situation to compensate for additional time spent and materials used, similar to working with any other contractor. 'Non-standard' installations include, but are not limited to, the following scenarios:

Dishwashers

Flooring that is raised or built on top of a pre-existing floor makes dishwasher installations very difficult. Cutting off legs of the old dishwasher may be required for removal, but will only be performed with your authorization and signature. There is no guarantee that your dishwasher can be installed if your floor is raised too high, so please discuss this possibility with your salesperson so you can purchase a dishwasher that has more flexibility for your particular installation needs. If a dishwasher installation is beyond the scope of our trained professionals, we might insist on refunding your delivery fee and leaving the project for your own contractor. As a conscientious delivery crew, we always choose to error on the side of protecting your property and avoiding a sloppy installation.

Gas Ranges and Dryers

Gas valves must be located in the appropriate position behind the appliance, as we cannot reposition or manipulate any gas line. We will not touch gas valves on the outside of the house and be responsible for restarting your pilot lights.

Electric Ranges and Dryers

Hardwiring ranges and dryers does not meet the required regulations. We come prepared with 3 prong ($19.95) and 4 prong receptacles ($29.95) which must be installed and will hang loose, but safely, behind the unit. This nominal fee is significantly less than hiring an electrician, so please cooperate with our installers who insist on following local code. Look behind your appliance...If there is a 220v outlet, there will be no additional charges. New cords must always be purchased (3 Prong - $12.95, 4 Prong - $16.95), even with a receptacle installation, as we never take the risk of using an old and possibly frayed cord.

Washing Machines

Old fill hoses can leak or burst. Queen insists on protecting your property by using only new hoses for every one of our washer installations. Some machines come with new rubber hoses, while many do not, so be prepared to purchase new rubber or stainless steel ones for a small fee. If you insist on using your old hoses, that is not a problem, however we will only put the unit in place and you must sign and indicate that you will be hooking up the hoses yourself. 5 foot fill hoses are always used, which is longer than the standard 4 foot; however some tight spaces require longer fill hoses and drain hose extensions for a small fee (i.e. laundry centers).

Refrigerators

Refrigerator water lines can only be connected to copper tubing (no charge for install) or via poly line to a shut-off valve behind the refrigerator (small fee for materials). The installers can run a new water line with copper tubing for $79.95.

Inclement Weather

Please understand that our hard-working delivery crew cannot control inclement weather and traffic conditions. If emergencies arise you will be notified and rescheduling arrangements will be made to the best of our abilities. Completing all of our deliveries is a commitment we always keep, and we never intend to inconvenience any of our customers.

Scratch & Dent Appliances

Since Scratch & Dent appliances have pre-existing damage, please make sure to fill out a damage detail form with your salesperson. Our drivers take great pride in protecting your purchases, one of the main reasons we do not sub-contract our delivery team.

Removals

Removals of old appliances are $5 for each piece ($15 for Refrigerators) or can be taken outside for your bulk trash pickup at no charge.

After this period, the manufacturer requires in-home service. If the appliance is deemed non-repairable by the manufacturer it will be replaced in accordance with their individual service/return policies.
  • DAMAGED MERCHANDISE
  • If you receive a cartoned product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is not replaceable** you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange***. After this period, the manufacturer does not authorize damage returns. If you receive a product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is replaceable**, you have 14 days from the time of delivery to request a replacement part at no charge.
  • Queen Appliance reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise at any time and for any reason. In rare cases, some appliances are non-returnable.
  • * Scratch & Dent appliances and Special Buy items are often one of a kind and sold at significant discounts, therefore if no exact replacement model is available you may apply the credit for that appliance toward a different model. Queen Appliance will always work to provide the best value possible, however any difference in product price is the responsibility of the customer.

Damage returns will not be authorized after 72 hours, although replacement parts can be ordered up to 14 days from the time of delivery. Queen Appliance reserves the right to determine if a cosmetic part is to be replaced or if the product should be returned instead.

  • BILLING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Payments are to be made to Queen Appliance without any deduction or discount other than as stated in these Terms or in the relevant invoice or statement.
  • Online Orders: The balance of the invoice must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
  • In-Store / Phone Orders (Factory-Direct / New In Box Orders): A deposit of 50% of the invoice price must be paid when placing an order, in order for us to place the order with the vendor.
