We recently remodeled and decided to upgrade from our seven year old side-by-side to a French door refrigerator, which has never given us any trouble whatsoever. Features we especially wanted besides the French door option was the deli drawer, water and ice, and the color black, not black stainless. After extensive research on the black stainless, we found out that it scratches easily and the color sontomdoeak is merely a film. We weren't impressed and knew that with a small child that maintaining the black stainless color would be impossible. Our only other option in getting a black appliance was Maytag. Knowing that Maytag and Whirlpool are manufactured by the same company we knew either would be a good choice as far as purchasing goes. Performance would later be determined, which thus far it has been flawless. This Whirlpool has it all though. Our daughter can get her snacks (yogurt, cheese, juice box, etc) out of the deli drawer easily. We liked that feature most of all because it kept the main part of the refidgerator cold and only a small area was being opened. The space in the French doors is excellent as well as the spaciousness of the freezer. Granted you cannot buy huge quantities of freezer items hoping to "stock" up. It's not a chest freezer. It does, however, have ample space for the normal items a family would keep on hand for quick meals and /or snacks. My husband and I would most definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone in the market to buy!

Well-designed appliance

I was looking for a larger refrigerator, and I'm really happy that I bought this one. The French Door/Extra Drawer combination are so great. The extra drawer holds most of my produce AND my cans of seltzer; I have much more room in the upper part of my fridge now. At first I was afraid that the ice maker would take up too much room in the left-hand door, but that's not the case. There's still plenty of storage. The shelves are also of much higher quality material than my old fridge, which is a plus. I love the freezer as well, with the large drawer and the basket shelf. Very pleased overall.

So much space!

I bought this after my old side by side went out, and am so happy with my choice. So much added space in both top and bottom, and the additional pull out freezer drawer enables me to see all that is stored in the freezer. An added bonus is the ice maker that replenishes the ice about every 90 minutes.

Beautiful fridge

First let me state it took over 6 weeks to receive my fridge because I ordered it in the elusive color black.. once it did come it has a dent in the front of the door.. idk how much of these two negatives belong to Lowes and how much belongs to Whirlpool but either way it affects my opinion. If you can look past the dent this thing is a gorgeous beast! I was a little concerned over the storage by looking at it in the store and the way the delivery people "set it up" (again probably more of a Lowes issue) but once I rearranged the shelves it has plenty of room! I saw other reviews about the noise and it DOES seem loud, but all of my new Whirlpool appliances seem loud for some reason. I really only notice the noise first thing in the morning before everyone gets going. It does also seem like it runs ALL THE TIME! I do really like the ice and water being tall enough to fit larger cups... I LOVE the measured readings.. I like the size of the ice cubes and the fact that there are alarms on all the doors if they get left ajar.. Overall I am happy with this item.. it may not have been my first pick but the builder decided for me with all the other appliances being black Whirlpool.. From what I have seen the Stainless version goes on sale quite a bit and I would be more satisfied if I got to pay $500 to $700 less than I had to for the black

We bought a refrigerator six weeks ago and we have been very pleased with the way it is performed for exceeding our expectations. We were uncertain how well we were going to like the freezer compartment being on the bottom but it has proven to be an exceptional option for us. The utility drawer above the freezer is perfect for those every day items that you get out often. We are extremely pleased with this product.

Great except one little thing

We got this fridge a little over a month ago. We love it do far. However, there is one little thing that drives me crazy... there is a silver strip that is supposed to be attached to the top door shelf that keeps coming off. I also wish that the installers did a better job taking the plastic off of it, there are little pieces of plastic wrap still visible here and there. And I can seem to be able to remove them because they are so short to be able to grab them, bit they are visible on the black fridge. Other than that we are quite happy with it so far.

I love my new fridge! It has so many places to put all the things I keep in my fridge all the time! I love to cook so there are a lot of things! I love the freezer space and configuration. With the ice and water dispenser up in the cool compartment, the freezer is huge! It is also very easy to organize. I love how sleek and shiny the appliance is. The blue light in the dispenser? Genius! The setting Tom get the same amount of water every time helps me keep track of my daily water consumption. Love it all.

Beautiful Functioning Refrigerator

Typical Whirlpool, waited five weeks for delivery and as the delivery men were removing the protective films they discovered a dent in the front of the freezer compartment. This is not new to us, last Whirlpool was replaced three times due to damage.

I love everything about this refrigerator. The interior space and the added drawer and lower drawer freezer. It is very easy to operate and adjust controls. The only thing I would change is the finish on the front. It does show fingerprints.

This refrigerator was installed 6 days ago and I have been so pleased with it's performance so far. Other reviewers have noted that it runs too loudly, but I haven't found that to be true. I placed a manual thermometer in both the refrigerator as well as the freezer and found the temperatures to be as I set them on the panel. There is plenty of room in both sections and the shelves in the refrigerator are adjustable which is great. Great value for the price!
