Noisy Stove

I do not like the stove/micro combo. The vent stays on too long and is too loud. We need to wait until it shuts off before sitting down to eat. The knobs on the stove get very warm when the oven is on because they jut out over the oven door.Then we have to deal with the stove "cooling down" for the next 30 minutes. The caps on the gas jets constantly fall off when being cleaned and the stainless finish is difficult to keep streak free ( I have tried various stainless cleaners).

This model of stove was provided by the builder of our home. We have owned it less than a year and the rubber pads have already started falling of the burner grate. now that we are missing one, the grate teeters and post sit unevenly on it. Normally this would be no big deal as these parts should only cost a few dollars. However, for some reason, they are not available for this model. If you have ever owned a gas grill like this then you know it is not uncommon for these pads to melt or fall out with use so there is really no excuse why there are no replacements available. Other Whirlpool models have replacement part numbers for this item. Why their high end brand and models don't is unacceptable. I was told by the official parts customer service rep that whole ne grate kit would be needed to replace this part at a cost of almost $200. Now I've been waiting forever to warranty the entire burner grate for something I should be able to fix myself in 5 min. A year from now when we loose another one we will not have that option. I suggest you get a different brand as replacement parts for things like these should be available and easy to find for a current product. Who knows what else is unavailable if something wears out on their products.

what did I do without a gas range before? why did i wait so long to get this beautiful product in my kitchen? I love everythign except the heat in my kitchen in the summertime. since this is first time for gas, i am just not used to the kitchen getting warm fast.... but, my food gets ready faster, so i can turn off the heat faster. i do notice the cooling fan runs a little while after turning off the oven, but i dont see anywhere to control this, so i am just glad there is somethign to cool down temperature of the oven walls, etc.. this black stainless steel is georgeous looking and cleans up very easy. I just lift the 2 grates and i dont even have to scrub hard, all the marks from cooking come clean. the knobs are big and easy to read and use. the push button controls for the oven is clear and easy to run. so far so excellent

Fist, it is NOT a slide-In range... it's a freestanding range with front controls. cooktop on a slide in sits on top of the countertop. Also, the big handle on the drawer is stupid... it's just an ankle catcher. BUT, those are aesthetic issues and I should have noticed them, so they're my bad. However, I'm on my second range and it's broken out of the box. (The first was dented and not from shipping/installation... the box was perfect). I plugged in the replacement and couldn't set the time, because the number 6 on the touchpad does not respond. Seriously, do they have any quality checks? (I also had a dented range hood (again the box was perfect) and a refrigerator that's out of square). I'm less than pleased with KitchenAid

When we bought our townhome, we had a choice of Kitchenaid or whirlpool appliances. I am happy with everything but the range. When I found out the ' self cleaning' was aqua lift, I read the reviews and found all negative ones, that no one liked it and there is a pending lawsuit. I tried to get credit so I could get a real self cleaning oven, one where you push a button and it cleans by itself. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the Kitchenaid range. The enamel on the inside is very thin, and it's already chipped from pulling the grates in and out. I rarely use the oven because I don't want to manually clean it. The oven isn't insulated very well, and when it's turned on the outside door and drawer are extremely hot. I've accidentally turned on the flames when I reached to clean the top of the range. I almost burned my shirt. The grates are very heavy to lift out to clean. I had Kitchenaid wall ovens in my previous house and was very happy with them. I always felt Kitchenaid had the top of the line appliances and extremely disappointed in this range. I would NEVER buy it again. This range is only for people who don't cook.

We purchased this range 2 years ago. It was a problem from the beginning. Within 2 months a keypad error came up and we called for service. When the repair tech came out, the code was no longer displaying and no service could be performed. Just out of our 1 year service warranty, the code appeared again. This time the key pad had to be replaced and we were charged for service tech labor. Now just recently we had another error code for low speed fan. So again we had to pay a service fee and this time, since the limited warranties parts list is SO limited, we had to pay for the replacement part. I am almost $500 into repairs on this range and counting. We also bought a refrigerator when we remodeled and that has been serviced 2x as well. Very disappointed in these products. Would not purchase again.

We bought a model home and moved in 4/25/17. The stove had not been turned on until settlement which was 12/2/16. The range looks like a gourmet model and having 5 burners is good. I haven't had gas in over 20 years, so I am still getting used to cooking with it. However, the knobs can easily be turned on by leaning into them. Also the burners put out SO much heat that the automatic fan on the microwave turns on! (Thank goodness.) The oven was not calibrated properly, so we read the instruction manual and attempted to do it ourselves. The temperature had improved but it is still not correct. We have to adjust our baking times which is a pain since my last oven was perfect!

Control Panel is a Lemon

Soon after purchasing this stove the numbers 1, 4 and 7 on the control panel for setting the temperature of the oven failed. Since we bought it soon after it this model was released, we were told parts weren't yet available so we lived with it for a year by turning the breaker off and back on and sometimes the numbers would work, sometimes they wouldn't. Finally we got an error code that the cooling fan wasn't working and service needed to be called. The technician replaced the control panel (it was dented and he ordered a new one, causing me to take time off work for the third time) and cooling fan, showed me that the oven warmed up and numbers on the control panel worked. The very next day we are getting the same error code and the oven won't turn on. I love the look of my appliances but I want them to work. I drive a foreign-made car for the same reason I won't ever buy an American-made appliance again.

Trim scratches easily/Burners can't be lit when power is out

My reasons for purchased a dual fuel include having gas burners so I can use them when the power goes out. We asked before we purchased the oven and were told that yes, the burners could be manually lit when the power goes out. Even the instructions for operating the oven say that the burners can be manually lit. However this is a complete and total lie. There is some sort of a lock that prevents the gas from flowing to the burners when there is no power. Another complaint is that the top of the unit is easily scratched by the grates. Plus the "painted on which burner is which" information on the same panel that is easily scratched have disappeared after 2 years. I am disappointed in this unit.

Defective materials ruined cooktop & warranty doesn't cover

I purchased all Kitchenaid products for my kitchen remodel, due to beautiful design, warranty, and quality brand. However, my beautiful new cooktop bubbled around the burners in multiple places after only 1-2 months of light use. I was very disappointed that the one year warranty does not cover DEFECTIVE MATERIALS unless they are reported within 30 days of purchase. So, I have a beautiful new oven with a peeling cooktop that will most likely need to be replaced within a year. I will NEVER purchase a Kitchenaid product again--there are many other brand options that still use quality materials that will last much longer.

Certainly a good looking range. Glad when it arrived that the cooktop was black and not stainless. The black is hard enough to keep clean. Stainless cooktop would have been impossible! Not quite certain the temp is calibrated correctly. Need to order an oven thermometer to check. Most baked recipes are taking longer to cook than normal(even with the heat +25deg AND convection going). But my one big complaint is that the oven lights went out inside of 2months since installation. Sorry, but that's just bad craftsmanship. 2months!?!? We bought the extended warranty from the appliance store so I called them and COULD NOT BELIEVE, than even in the first 90days, the lights aren't covered by either their warranty or kitchenaid. "The lights are considered cosmetic". Tell that to my 2yr old who can no longer watch the cookies baking!!! Not Happy.

I've been running it empty for an hour each day, with all my doors and windows open for a full week now, hoping that it will stop off-gassing, but the chemical smells are not getting better. The user guide says: "The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off by the oven. Exposure to the fumes may result in death to certain birds. Always move birds to another closed and well-ventilated room." That bird warning sounds like what KitchenAid is using to make the oven self-cleaning may be polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It's questionable whether humans should breathe PTFE, which is why a lot of cookware manufacturers take pains to note when their nonstick products are PTFE free. Unfortunately, seems like this oven is not PTFE free. Really regret this purchase.

Love the burner locations and LOVE the extra room inside. In a year, I had service out three times. It makes me feel like I purchased a lemon. I question if the money for new range was worth it. I question the overall quality of the product when there were issues - one of them dangerous however it may have been an error in installation (to be fair). Love the burner locations and the heat variability. Great burner control. I might pay more for a more heavy duty/reliable range in the future. Time will tell at the three year mark.

Excellent Stove/Oven

This is my first gas stove and oven. I am very happy with the performance and quality this far. There are a lot of features to cook. I have not tried the steam clean feature yet. But I am anxious to see how well it does. The only issue is cleaning the stove. There are a lot of different parts with different textures so you have to use different cleaning products to get rid of grease on different areas of the stove.

Part of our kitchen renovation-Love this stove! Really works great-love having 5 burners-you have to be careful with the high BTU burner though! The large grates that are on top of the stove are cool too-it can be used for task area and also it fits my cast iron grill really good! So nice to be able to have a large oven that my large cookie sheets can fit in! I do wish they had on the control area an indicator that the stove is on like the indicator that the oven has- This Stove makes me want to cook too much! Trolling recipe sites!

At Queen Appliance we only offer 'white-glove' delivery services, so you never have to worry about additional charges to put a product in place, carry up stairs, or hook up hoses, water lines, and power chords. Installation charges do apply for built-in or gas appliances, but we will always be drastically less expensive than hiring an electrician or plumber! Call a Sales Associate to verify delivery and installation charges.

We may sell a lot of scratched & dented appliances, but we take great pride in the fact that we do not CREATE our own Scratch & Dent merchandise.

Measure Dimensions

Queen will always take responsibility for mistakes that we make; however taking proper measurements at home is the responsibility of the customer. Do not forget to measure doorways, any space that the appliance must travel through to get to its destination, as well as the final installation place. We can provide cut sheets and detailed specs for all of our appliances, so check with your sales- person. Unfortunately, if returns happen due to a customer's negligence to measure properly, we must charge a 20% restocking fee to cover our costs and re-sell an unboxed piece. If desired, our drivers can come out to measure ahead of time for a small fee. Please note: We do not remove door molding or cut any cabinetry.

Delivery Time Windows

We understand that all customers have jobs and personal obligations, which is why we are committed to giving you a 2-3 hour time window for your delivery. Never should you have to wait around all day for a delivery, as with much of our competition. Please understand that we must route the truck geographically, so any special delivery time requests will be taken very seriously but can never be guaranteed. Your time window will be set the evening before and you will receive it through a phone call from our Phoenixville branch. If you have not received your time window by 7:30 pm, please call 610-933-2900 (Option 2 for Retail Sales) and check with a Sales Associate.

Directions and Cross Streets

Your salesperson is responsible for asking all the necessary details to get your new appliances to your home, however if they forget to ask for the nearest cross street please call and let them know. GPS and online maps are not always accurate, so the nearest cross street and any directions or details that you feel will help them are greatly appreciated and necessary for our drivers (i.e. low bridges, unmarked roads, landmarks, etc.).

Standard Installations

If our delivery team deems any installation as 'non-standard' they will require your approval and signature before proceeding. In addition, an additional fee may be charged depending on the nature of the situation to compensate for additional time spent and materials used, similar to working with any other contractor. 'Non-standard' installations include, but are not limited to, the following scenarios:


Flooring that is raised or built on top of a pre-existing floor makes dishwasher installations very difficult. Cutting off legs of the old dishwasher may be required for removal, but will only be performed with your authorization and signature. There is no guarantee that your dishwasher can be installed if your floor is raised too high, so please discuss this possibility with your salesperson so you can purchase a dishwasher that has more flexibility for your particular installation needs. If a dishwasher installation is beyond the scope of our trained professionals, we might insist on refunding your delivery fee and leaving the project for your own contractor. As a conscientious delivery crew, we always choose to error on the side of protecting your property and avoiding a sloppy installation.

Gas Ranges and Dryers

Gas valves must be located in the appropriate position behind the appliance, as we cannot reposition or manipulate any gas line. We will not touch gas valves on the outside of the house and be responsible for restarting your pilot lights.

Electric Ranges and Dryers

Hardwiring ranges and dryers does not meet the required regulations. We come prepared with 3 prong ($19.95) and 4 prong receptacles ($29.95) which must be installed and will hang loose, but safely, behind the unit. This nominal fee is significantly less than hiring an electrician, so please cooperate with our installers who insist on following local code. Look behind your appliance...If there is a 220v outlet, there will be no additional charges. New cords must always be purchased (3 Prong - $12.95, 4 Prong - $16.95), even with a receptacle installation, as we never take the risk of using an old and possibly frayed cord.

Washing Machines

Old fill hoses can leak or burst. Queen insists on protecting your property by using only new hoses for every one of our washer installations. Some machines come with new rubber hoses, while many do not, so be prepared to purchase new rubber or stainless steel ones for a small fee. If you insist on using your old hoses, that is not a problem, however we will only put the unit in place and you must sign and indicate that you will be hooking up the hoses yourself. 5 foot fill hoses are always used, which is longer than the standard 4 foot; however some tight spaces require longer fill hoses and drain hose extensions for a small fee (i.e. laundry centers).


Refrigerator water lines can only be connected to copper tubing (no charge for install) or via poly line to a shut-off valve behind the refrigerator (small fee for materials). The installers can run a new water line with copper tubing for $79.95.

Inclement Weather

Please understand that our hard-working delivery crew cannot control inclement weather and traffic conditions. If emergencies arise you will be notified and rescheduling arrangements will be made to the best of our abilities. Completing all of our deliveries is a commitment we always keep, and we never intend to inconvenience any of our customers.

Scratch & Dent Appliances

Since Scratch & Dent appliances have pre-existing damage, please make sure to fill out a damage detail form with your salesperson. Our drivers take great pride in protecting your purchases, one of the main reasons we do not sub-contract our delivery team.


Removals of old appliances are $5 for each piece ($15 for Refrigerators) or can be taken outside for your bulk trash pickup at no charge.

  • All merchandise must be inspected and tested at the time of delivery.
  • Queen Appliance is not responsible for customer installation errors.
  • All dimensions must be approved for all major appliances. All no-fit and good stock returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee plus a re-delivery charge, if applicable. Merchandise must be in its original condition and include all original packing materials, accessories, product manuals and warranty cards. There will be no refund for labor, delivery and/or installation services for good stock returns.
  • If you receive a product that is functionally defective upon delivery you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange*. After this period, the manufacturer requires in-home service. If the appliance is deemed non-repairable by the manufacturer it will be replaced in accordance with their individual service/return policies.
  • If you receive a cartoned product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is not replaceable** you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange***. After this period, the manufacturer does not authorize damage returns. If you receive a product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is replaceable**, you have 14 days from the time of delivery to request a replacement part at no charge.
  • Queen Appliance reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise at any time and for any reason. In rare cases, some appliances are non-returnable.
  • * Scratch & Dent appliances and Special Buy items are often one of a kind and sold at significant discounts, therefore if no exact replacement model is available you may apply the credit for that appliance toward a different model. Queen Appliance will always work to provide the best value possible, however any difference in product price is the responsibility of the customer.
  • ** Examples of replaceable cosmetic parts include, but are not limited to:
    • Handles
    • Knobs
    • Panels
    • Feet/Leveling Legs
    • Escutcheon Plate/Panel
    • Toe Kick/Kick Plate
    • etc
  • *** Scratch & Dent and other unboxed items are subject to the agreement at the time of sale. Customer must sign that the appliance arrived in the same condition that it was purchased. If any additional damage is noticed, please contact your sales associate immediately at the time of delivery. Returns after the time of delivery are subject to a re-delivery fee. Damage returns will not be authorized after 72 hours, although replacement parts can be ordered up to 14 days from the time of delivery. Queen Appliance reserves the right to determine if a cosmetic part is to be replaced or if the product should be returned instead.

  • Payments are to be made to Queen Appliance without any deduction or discount other than as stated in these Terms or in the relevant invoice or statement.
  • Online Orders: The balance of the invoice must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
  • In-Store / Phone Orders (Factory-Direct / New In Box Orders): A deposit of 50% of the invoice price must be paid when placing an order, in order for us to place the order with the vendor. The remaining balance of 50% must be paid within 15 days or at the time of delivery (whichever comes sooner).
  • In-Store / Phone Orders (Open Box / One-Of-A-Kind): A deposit of 5% of the item price must be paid when placing an order, in order to temporarily hold the product for 15 days maximum. An additional 45% deposit must be made within the first 15 day period (bringing the deposit total to 50%), in order to continue to hold the product. The product must be paid in full within 30 days from placing the order or at the time of delivery (whichever comes sooner).
  • Should these terms not be met, we reserve the right to cancel your order and release any product holds at our discretion. A full refund for all deposits made will be provided back to you via the original payment method used.
  • There are no storage charges for items held in our warehouse as long as the item is paid in accordance with the Billing Terms and Conditions listed above.
  • We accept the following credit card payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
  • We offer free 6 months financing (0% Interest) via a BrandSource Credit Card pending credit approval by Citibank. 12 Month Financing is available during certain promotional time windows. Contact your local showroom for more information. Online purchases do not qualify.
