I bought this just over a year ago. I chose KitchenAid because my other KitchenAid appliances are fantastic. This is not. I have used it less than a doz. times and the blade for the main bowl will not stay locked in position. After a few seconds it works it's way up and if there were not a lid, it would completely come off. Cleaning this is also a pain. There are lots of groves and nooks a crannies for stuff to get stuck in. Food even works it's way up inside of the blade shaft. Just not a good design at all. I wish I had looked at reviews before purchasing, but I trusted KitchenAid because of my past experience with them.

The food processor is the workhorse of our busy kitchen, and Kitchenaide has always been our brand of choice over decades of cooking. After trying, really, to love our current model, we're facing the reality that it's time to cut our losses and send it off to the countertop-appliance graveyard. Works the way we've always loved and appreciated, but it's just too hard to clean. The design team for this one really missed the mark, and should have included real users to get feedback and insights. The many pieces of the cover, lid and chutes have more nooks and crannies than an English muffin and trap and stubbornly hold food bits, soap suds and likely a whole universe of bacteria. Gone are the days of soapy water, a swish with cloth or brush and a quick rinse. Maddening to the point of abandonment.

I am so happy to have my new food processor, and what a wonderful time of the year to get one. I love that it has a small container and the large one. I have done so many great things with it so far and I have more great foods to make in the future. Works like a charm and the clean up is so easy. You don't really need to put the parts in the dishwasher, they rinse of under the faucet with ease. The case for the extra parts is so handy and very easy to store. I have the processor on my kitchen counter because I am so proud of it. No hiding under the counter for it. Just love every aspect of it.

I absolutely love the size! It's perfect in so many ways. In addition, the smaller insert is great for smaller jobs too. Wouldn't change one thing about this...very user friendly, and awesome case to store cutters/blades in is great too so as to prevent accidental injuries. Love my KitchenAid!!

The exactslice system is not as good as I thought it would be. I have had problems with the setting changing in the middle of slicing objects. For example: I wanted the thinnest slice and if you put any pressure on the object that you are slicing, the lever that controls the thickness jumps to a different setting. I also find the widest feeding tube to be a little cumbersome to use.

I am so very disappointed in this unit. I found the need to replace my 24 year old KitchenAid food processor. After a successful run on the old unit, I chose to get another. This new unit is much lighter...it feels like it will "walk away" if I ask it to process a dough. The lid of the work bowl has a very large gap behind the food chute. this allowed my cheese to build up and need a knife to clean out. The buttons are also very hard to press on and off. This is especially important while using the pulse feature. I am sorry I threw away the packaging. I would have returned it. Shame on me.

Fantastic powerhouse

We received a Cuisinart 24 years ago. It finally gave up and we were left with a need. After a lot of research we decided to get the 11 cup ExactSlice System machine. It has been fabulous! It is so much quieter than the old machine and slices so quickly and the slices are even and clean. I love the adjustability of it as well. Definitely will be expanding the repertoire of what we use the machine for.

I got this for Christmas but we immediately started remodeling our kitchen and so just was able to open it about a month ago. I love everything about it but especially love being able to adjust the slice thickness "on the go". The only thing that is cumbersome to me is how hard it is to get this lid on with the smaller container in the processor. I can only use this when my husband is around to manhandle it.

I purchased the larger 11 cup processor thinking I could process more at one time, however that is not the case. I tried to make ham salad the other day and couldn't get the ham chunks to grind up before turning the rest of the ham in to mush and I still needed to take some out to get the rest of the ham ground up. It wasn't overloaded either. Another thing that I have a problem with is that the push buttons are very hard to get started. I am a person that does a lot of yard work and have some good muscle tone, but these buttons push very hard.

I asked for this for Christmas and couldn't wait to use it. I have other KitchenAid small appliances so I knew I'd be pleased with the quality, but I never expected how beyond pleased I would be. For starters, it's quite light--it weighs less than half of what the 7-cup model I had been using weighs--yet feels like a sturdy, high quality machine you would expect from KitchenAid. It's easy to use (my old one took me forever to figure out) and the storage container for the attachments is perfect! No more sharp, loose blades floating around the cupboard! It works like a dream, and as an avid canner, this will take hours of time and loads of frustration off my workload this summer. Love it!!

I'm very disappointed in this food processor. It will not work. The buttons will not readily punch on. I have carefully gone through the directions. shredded cheese once and thought it would work. I threw the box away. No results after that. I thought I had it figured out. I have about an 18 year old professional model of Kitchenaide that I loved. Plastic on it is crumbling now. That is the reason for the new one. I need to send this one back but nothing to put it in.

This is an amazing Food Processor. The ExactSlice will cut your vegetables either really really thin, or nice and thick to suite your needs at the time. I see this appliance lasting for years, it's quality made. Naturally it did the cookie crust no problem, but I also did really thick carrot slices for a side dish recipe in seconds! This is versatile to save time with many kitchen tasks.

Despite following directions and working through all the pieces this FP comes with I am finding it difficult to use. It is difficult to open and close and food readily gets stuck in the lid. I like the way it chops and slices but why do the buttons have to be so difficult to push on and off. Why only the high or low speed? It is a big machine to have on the counter and the power does not seem that strong. I had a small Kitchen Aid processor that quit at 14 months old. The motor gave out. I feel the same thing is going to happen with this. This FP was a gift and I would not gift it to a friend.

Received this food processor as a Christmas gift in 2015. Maybe I used six times over a 13 month period. Well in January 2017 while chopping oreo cookies the motor stopped. The machine just died. Since the warranty had just expired, I decide to call Kitchenaid to complain about this subpar product. To my surprise the woman was extremely apologetic and offered to send me a rebuilt model. I received the "new" rebuilt product and the other day went to make a pie crust....well the motor died. Yes, they are two for two. They are sending me another rebuilt model---I don't have much hope. What happened to Kitchenaid manufacturing dependable products. They will no longer be my go to brand.

Confused on how to get the full use out of this product

I received this off of my wedding registry and was very happy to have another kitchenmaid product in my home. However, I can not figure out the 3-1 feed tube. It seems that you always need to leave the main feed tube in place for the unit to turn on, this is frustrating as I would like to use the largest capacity feeder. This 3-1 feed tube is also very difficult to clean and has too many nooks and crannies. Slightly disappointed with this food processor.

Scratch Cooking

During the Christmas holiday we invited 17 people to our home for a business meeting. I cooked a full meal from scratch including a roast, several vegetables, turkey/dressing, potato salad, gumbo which required the chopping, slicing, and dicing of many vegetables. I never would have finished cooking in time for our 6:00 pm dinner. I received numerous compliments for a delicious meal and I complimented my Kitchen Aid Food Processor for cutting my food preparation time in half. I was quickly able to learn how to use this appliance.

Average for chopping

Didn't chop softer vegetables well. Food got caught in between blade and side. Stops sometimes while shredding or chopping food. Have to stop and clean out or reset to start ahain

Food Processor

It works well. My only problem is will you continue to support it with replacement parts. My last Kitchenaide Food Processor motor continued to work well but the plastic bowl failed twice. The third bowl I tried to buy was no longer available. I bought a new one because I liked the old one. I also now bought an extra bowl just in case. I should not have to do that.

Great all-around work horse

My thirty-three year old Kitchen-Aid food processor finally made its last effort right before the holidays, so I replaced it with another Kitchen Aid of course. This one is an upgrade and works great with more features. I have no doubt it will last me the next thirty years, and if I stop cooking before I'm 90, I will pass it on to one of my children. Thanks for a great product.

super powerful

This is SUPER powerful. The first time i used it, i put it on high and accidentally made onion mush. But after that I got the hang out it. Easy to use, fast, easy to clean. It is pretty large though so takes up a good amount of cabinet space.

I just bought this food processor to replace another Kitchen Aid I had and used for 20 years. Since my first food processor was so good and lasted so long, I decided to buy another. This one is just as easy to use and chops up food perfectly. And it's very light weight! I highly recommend it.

Lived up to high expectations

This was a Christmas gift and I was very disappointed when it did not work at all due to a faulty locking mechanism. Kitchenaid agreed to replace the work bowl and cover; instead they replaced everything and I returned the malfunctioning unit and accessories. My previous Kitchenaid still worked and was given to a charity thrift store. The new slicing mechanism is fantastic. Just try it for French dip roast beef sandwiches!

At Queen Appliance we only offer 'white-glove' delivery services, so you never have to worry about additional charges to put a product in place, carry up stairs, or hook up hoses, water lines, and power chords. Installation charges do apply for built-in or gas appliances, but we will always be drastically less expensive than hiring an electrician or plumber! Call a Sales Associate to verify delivery and installation charges.

In addition, many of our appliances include rebates to cover the cost of delivery and even installation! Speak to a sales associate for more information on specific delivery and installation charges.

While most of our competitors sub-contract their delivery services, we take pride in quality control and protection of your appliances and property. Not only can we better accommodate specific customer needs, but we guarantee professionalism throughout each of our deliveries and patience with all of our customers.

We may sell a lot of scratched & dented appliances, but we take great pride in the fact that we do not CREATE our own Scratch & Dent merchandise.

Measure Dimensions

Queen will always take responsibility for mistakes that we make; however taking proper measurements at home is the responsibility of the customer. Do not forget to measure doorways, any space that the appliance must travel through to get to its destination, as well as the final installation place. We can provide cut sheets and detailed specs for all of our appliances, so check with your sales- person. Unfortunately, if returns happen due to a customer's negligence to measure properly, we must charge a 20% restocking fee to cover our costs and re-sell an unboxed piece. If desired, our drivers can come out to measure ahead of time for a small fee. Please note: We do not remove door molding or cut any cabinetry.

Delivery Time Windows

We understand that all customers have jobs and personal obligations, which is why we are committed to giving you a 2-3 hour time window for your delivery. Never should you have to wait around all day for a delivery, as with much of our competition. Please understand that we must route the truck geographically, so any special delivery time requests will be taken very seriously but can never be guaranteed. Your time window will be set the evening before and you will receive it through a phone call from our Phoenixville branch. If you have not received your time window by 7:30 pm, please call 610-933-2900 (Option 2 for Retail Sales) and check with a Sales Associate.

Directions and Cross Streets

Your salesperson is responsible for asking all the necessary details to get your new appliances to your home, however if they forget to ask for the nearest cross street please call and let them know. GPS and online maps are not always accurate, so the nearest cross street and any directions or details that you feel will help them are greatly appreciated and necessary for our drivers (i.e. low bridges, unmarked roads, landmarks, etc.).

Standard Installations

If our delivery team deems any installation as 'non-standard' they will require your approval and signature before proceeding. In addition, an additional fee may be charged depending on the nature of the situation to compensate for additional time spent and materials used, similar to working with any other contractor. 'Non-standard' installations include, but are not limited to, the following scenarios:

Dishwashers

Flooring that is raised or built on top of a pre-existing floor makes dishwasher installations very difficult. Cutting off legs of the old dishwasher may be required for removal, but will only be performed with your authorization and signature. There is no guarantee that your dishwasher can be installed if your floor is raised too high, so please discuss this possibility with your salesperson so you can purchase a dishwasher that has more flexibility for your particular installation needs. If a dishwasher installation is beyond the scope of our trained professionals, we might insist on refunding your delivery fee and leaving the project for your own contractor. As a conscientious delivery crew, we always choose to error on the side of protecting your property and avoiding a sloppy installation.

Gas Ranges and Dryers

Gas valves must be located in the appropriate position behind the appliance, as we cannot reposition or manipulate any gas line. We will not touch gas valves on the outside of the house and be responsible for restarting your pilot lights.

Electric Ranges and Dryers

Hardwiring ranges and dryers does not meet the required regulations. We come prepared with 3 prong ($19.95) and 4 prong receptacles ($29.95) which must be installed and will hang loose, but safely, behind the unit. This nominal fee is significantly less than hiring an electrician, so please cooperate with our installers who insist on following local code. Look behind your appliance...If there is a 220v outlet, there will be no additional charges. New cords must always be purchased (3 Prong - $12.95, 4 Prong - $16.95), even with a receptacle installation, as we never take the risk of using an old and possibly frayed cord.

Washing Machines

Old fill hoses can leak or burst. Queen insists on protecting your property by using only new hoses for every one of our washer installations. Some machines come with new rubber hoses, while many do not, so be prepared to purchase new rubber or stainless steel ones for a small fee. If you insist on using your old hoses, that is not a problem, however we will only put the unit in place and you must sign and indicate that you will be hooking up the hoses yourself. 5 foot fill hoses are always used, which is longer than the standard 4 foot; however some tight spaces require longer fill hoses and drain hose extensions for a small fee (i.e. laundry centers).

Refrigerators

Refrigerator water lines can only be connected to copper tubing (no charge for install) or via poly line to a shut-off valve behind the refrigerator (small fee for materials). The installers can run a new water line with copper tubing for $79.95.

Inclement Weather

Please understand that our hard-working delivery crew cannot control inclement weather and traffic conditions. If emergencies arise you will be notified and rescheduling arrangements will be made to the best of our abilities. Completing all of our deliveries is a commitment we always keep, and we never intend to inconvenience any of our customers.

Scratch & Dent Appliances

Since Scratch & Dent appliances have pre-existing damage, please make sure to fill out a damage detail form with your salesperson. Our drivers take great pride in protecting your purchases, one of the main reasons we do not sub-contract our delivery team.

Removals

Removals of old appliances are $5 for each piece ($15 for Refrigerators) or can be taken outside for your bulk trash pickup at no charge.

  • GOOD STOCK RETURNS
  • All dimensions must be approved for all major appliances. All no-fit and good stock returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee plus a re-delivery charge, if applicable. Merchandise must be in its original condition and include all original packing materials, accessories, product manuals and warranty cards. There will be no refund for labor, delivery and/or installation services for good stock returns.
  • DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
  • If you receive a product that is functionally defective upon delivery you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange*. After this period, the manufacturer requires in-home service. If the appliance is deemed non-repairable by the manufacturer it will be replaced in accordance with their individual service/return policies.
  • DAMAGED MERCHANDISE
  • If you receive a cartoned product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is not replaceable** you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange***. After this period, the manufacturer does not authorize damage returns. If you receive a product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is replaceable**, you have 14 days from the time of delivery to request a replacement part at no charge.
  • Queen Appliance reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise at any time and for any reason. In rare cases, some appliances are non-returnable.
  • * Scratch & Dent appliances and Special Buy items are often one of a kind and sold at significant discounts, therefore if no exact replacement model is available you may apply the credit for that appliance toward a different model. Queen Appliance will always work to provide the best value possible, however any difference in product price is the responsibility of the customer.
  • ** Examples of replaceable cosmetic parts include, but are not limited to:
    • Handles
    • Knobs
    • Panels
    • Feet/Leveling Legs
    • Escutcheon Plate/Panel
    • Toe Kick/Kick Plate
    • etc
  • *** Scratch & Dent and other unboxed items are subject to the agreement at the time of sale. Customer must sign that the appliance arrived in the same condition that it was purchased. If any additional damage is noticed, please contact your sales associate immediately at the time of delivery. Returns after the time of delivery are subject to a re-delivery fee. Damage returns will not be authorized after 72 hours, although replacement parts can be ordered up to 14 days from the time of delivery. Queen Appliance reserves the right to determine if a cosmetic part is to be replaced or if the product should be returned instead.

  • Payments are to be made to Queen Appliance without any deduction or discount other than as stated in these Terms or in the relevant invoice or statement.

  • Online Orders: The balance of the invoice must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
