Best Dishwasher I've Ever Owned!!

I can honestly say that this is the very best dishwasher that I have ever owned!! You cannot hear it when it is running. It is literally quiet as a mouse:) The interior holds a massive amount of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, bowls, and there is still room left. It thoroughly cleans each and every load, no matter what wash cycle you choose. I feel that my dishes are clean and sterile when I remove them. This dishwasher uses the hottest water in the rinse cycle and it allows the loads to dry quickly. I love the interior light feature. It visibly tells you that the dishwasher cycle is complete and the dishes are ready to be removed. The many different wash choices that are available is appealing to me. I have had no trouble figuring out fancy cycles or devices. It is a well-made appliance and the interior baskets are of better quality than many others that I have owned. If I had it to do over again, I would definitely purchase this reliable, hard-working dishwasher! I recommend it to everyone. It is pricey but well worth it. You get what you pay for and a lot more.

Love this dishwasher, I don't know why I waited so long to purchase a new one. This dishwasher cleans efficiently. THe light feature is cute but I barely get to admire it because it automatically comes on after the wash is done and automatically shuts off. There are a number of colors that appear on the door throughout the wash cycle however I was not completely sure what each color meant. Blue is for washing, red I assume is for drying and white I understand now that the wash cycle is done. Overall an excellent addition to our kitchen

Washes dishes great, but why no light with window?

We purchased this dishwasher about two weeks ago. It is as wonderful as described and as you probably saw in the showroom. IT's the top of the line and the most expensive model, so you've probably got a lot of expectations. So did we. We sprung for having the lights inside, the window in the door, the pot scrubber, the bottle washers, etc. And it does a bang up job of cleaning dishes. But, a few things that weren't thought of (and that makes how much we paid for it annoying): 1) there's lights and a window, but the lights can't be manually turned on and they don't come on during washing. What's the point of that? There's a window but I can't see inside. Why did you put a window for me to look through? Yes, the light comes on at the end of the wash for about ten minutes. Nice, but since it takes the dishwasher about 3 hours to do a load of dishes, I'm not around to see the light come on. Not the most well thought out approach. Instead, kitchenaid, add a button like on the oven so i can turn the lights on and off at my leisure. let us see how your cool new appliance works. 2) the tines in the lower rack point straight up (that seems normal, right?) but, dinner plates usually need to lean back or else they fall over. So, i've manually bent the tines to keep the dinner plates from falling all over themselves. The bottom rack looks haphazard and i'm afraid i'll break the rack. Anyhow, seems easy enough to just manufacture the rack to accommodate dinner plates. 3) if you open the dishwasher during a cycle to add a dish, you have to press START then shut the door. IT doesn't start back up automatically. (grrr...) Overall, cleans and dries dishes great. I probably would have bought a cheaper model in kitchenaid and not paid for the cool new features because not everything was fully thought out.

Silent superb cleaning of anything in the dishwasher. The window is even fun to look at when the dishwasher is not running. The instructions say it requires a rinse aid for everything to dry well. That's correct--with added rinse aid, everything, including all plastic, is perfectly dry at the end of the cycle.

Top of the Line KitchenAid Dishwasher

We've tried Several Cycles on this dishwasher. Pro Cycle with Pro Heat and the dishes are not dry unless you wait an hour before opening the Door. It does the same thing on all cycles. When you do open it, there is water all over the window. It is extremely quiet. You cannot even hear that it's running. The Window is just a gimmick and has no functional value. The LED Lights are very bright.

Not happy with this dishwasher

The third tray/cutlery tray is too shallow to wash spoons (spoons that put on their side)or anything that is bigger than 1 and 1/4 inch tall, and on the center of tray, you can't even put anything bigger than 3/4 inch because the small wash arm is in the way. Also the tine on the tray is too short, so that can't hold and separate spoons or forks. The cutlery basket also not good to use, as the little holes can't fit my soup spoons' handle. So it is useless too me. It takes me double the time to load the dishes. And it takes forever to finish washing (more than 2 hours without drying function and more than 3 hours with drying), even after almost 1 hour of drying by use both heat and pro dry, the dishes only 85% dry. I suspect there is something wrong with this machine because I did not hear the fan blowing, there was no sound during the drying and was noisy during washing (noisier than the Asko I had last). I am being very patience with this new dishwasher as I understand it might take awhile to get use too. But so far, this is the only dishwasher I have ever hate.

First, the dishwasher cleans well. That is the main thing in a dishwasher, right? It's quiet and, frankly, looks good. However, it does not shut well. The door seems to be slightly off so that it catches on one side as we try to close it. We'll be contacting Kitchenaid about this, since when you pay this much for a machine you should get a machine that is in completely good condition.

I bought this dishwasher three weeks ago and I'm extremely glad I did. I no longer have to wash my dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher. Every item comes out clean. I also use to wash my utensils by hand, because they would touch and rust in my old dishwasher. I now use the utensil holder in this new machine and it's like magic. The instructions are very easy to follow. Everything is explained in plain English and pictures. A bit expensive for a dishwasher but works great.

I have just upgraded to this dishwasher from a Kenmore Elite model I've had for about 10 years. This Kitchenaid model is miles above what I had always thought was a pretty good dishwasher. It is solidly made, impressive looking, and due to some pretty innovative internal action, cleans my dishes without leaving residue or spots. I thought my old dishwasher was quiet, but this is so quiet, I've had to have a talk with my family about looking for the indicator light before opening it. They have interrupted my washing cycle several times because they just didn't hear a sound or feel any vibration. This feels solid, looks amazing and cleans great. What more could a girl ask for? This is the dishwasher of my dreams.

Water pumps out side wall. Keeps running water even when unit is shut off with door open. Only way for water to stop from running was to cut off water supply. Flooded my kitchen floor with door open or closed. Brand new unit, high end, and JUNK!

I have a baby and a toddler so we go through a lot of cups and bottles. This washer is specifically designed to address those types of dishes so it works great. The cycles can take a long time if you start stacking up special functions like power dry, bottle wash, etc., but they dishes are always super clean and I never have to go back over them with a manual wash.

My feedback is based on this model only. KitchenAid dishwashers are functionally the best around. Quiet and dependable. I built a new home and decided to indulge myself with a dishwasher with a window. Who wouldn't want to see the mysterious cleaning process, especially the kids. It would be like a 2 hour babysitters. Well, I'm sad to report the light doesn't stay on during the wash cycle. Even though it's an efficient LED light, some engineer decided to only have it go on AFTER the cycle is complete. Totally stupid. Everyone that comes over talks about the window and wants to see the inside while it's washing. Flashlights are the only way. Bottom line, great idea, horrible, not think customer execution. Save your money and pass on this model. Sorry KitchenAid - you failed on a great idea!!

Supper Quite/Supper cleaning

The machine is supper quire with great features with the dishes come our supper clean. The product I got has a fault the control panel goes out once the load is done and the only way to get it back is to turn the house power on and off. They are trying to fix it.

Stunningly quiet! The window seemed odd at first, but it's clearly the 'next generation' in home appliances, and I anticipate many copycats in the near future. A few years ago, I replaced our home's dishwasher with a GE Café. It was very nice, and having the controls hidden on the top of the dishwasher really streamlined the 'look' in the kitchen. We had purchased the KitchenAid double-wall-convection oven, and I wanted the appliances to match. I thought that upgrading to a solid front would be nice, but the window really appealed to the five-year-old in me! Every male who has entered my kitchen really loves the window, and they all say the same thing: "My kids would love this.....!" Well, not only does it look good, but it really does out perform any dishwasher I've ever owned. That it costs more than most cars my parents owned was a concern to me, but it appears to be a great value, that I'm sure will be beneficial to the selling of my home in the next few years!

I agree with other reviewer on all points. I replaced my Fisher and Paykel dish drawers because I loved the window design with lighted interior. Very disappointed the feature to at least choose the option for the light to be on during a cycle is not available. Agree that the marketing of the product is very misleading. No light during wash....

Thanks for the earlier review. I wanted the dishwasher with the light to stay on. I will wait and hope that they make the light stay on. During the entire wash..

Excellent all around Dishwasher!

My wife and I have had this dishwasher for a week now and it is without question the quietest most beautiful and best cleaning dishwasher we have ever owned in over 30 years. I would have given this dishwasher 5 Stars if it were not for the fact that I was very disappointed about one factor. This dishwasher has a window (which is very unique among other dishwashers on the market). This model also has an internal light. The thing that disappointed me was the internel light does not stay lit while the dishwasher is washing the dishes. The way I look at it is why have a window if you cannot see what is going on inside the dishwasher while it is running. This makes the window for looks ONLY. The window servers no other purpose. I am very disappointed in this aspect of this amazing dishwasher. Why Kitchenaid did not have the internal light stay lit while it is running is beyond me OR, why didn't they make it n option is also beyond me. In the description of this model, they make it seem like the light stays lit while the dishwasher is running. This is very deceiving and misleading. Shame.

At Queen Appliance we only offer 'white-glove' delivery services, so you never have to worry about additional charges to put a product in place, carry up stairs, or hook up hoses, water lines, and power chords. Installation charges do apply for built-in or gas appliances, but we will always be drastically less expensive than hiring an electrician or plumber! Call a Sales Associate to verify delivery and installation charges.

In addition, many of our appliances include rebates to cover the cost of delivery and even installation! Speak to a sales associate for more information on specific delivery and installation charges.

While most of our competitors sub-contract their delivery services, we take pride in quality control and protection of your appliances and property. Not only can we better accommodate specific customer needs, but we guarantee professionalism throughout each of our deliveries and patience with all of our customers.

We may sell a lot of scratched & dented appliances, but we take great pride in the fact that we do not CREATE our own Scratch & Dent merchandise.

Measure Dimensions

Queen will always take responsibility for mistakes that we make; however taking proper measurements at home is the responsibility of the customer. Do not forget to measure doorways, any space that the appliance must travel through to get to its destination, as well as the final installation place. We can provide cut sheets and detailed specs for all of our appliances, so check with your sales- person. Unfortunately, if returns happen due to a customer's negligence to measure properly, we must charge a 20% restocking fee to cover our costs and re-sell an unboxed piece. If desired, our drivers can come out to measure ahead of time for a small fee. Please note: We do not remove door molding or cut any cabinetry.

Delivery Time Windows

We understand that all customers have jobs and personal obligations, which is why we are committed to giving you a 2-3 hour time window for your delivery. Never should you have to wait around all day for a delivery, as with much of our competition. Please understand that we must route the truck geographically, so any special delivery time requests will be taken very seriously but can never be guaranteed. Your time window will be set the evening before and you will receive it through a phone call from our Phoenixville branch. If you have not received your time window by 7:30 pm, please call 610-933-2900 (Option 2 for Retail Sales) and check with a Sales Associate.

Directions and Cross Streets

Your salesperson is responsible for asking all the necessary details to get your new appliances to your home, however if they forget to ask for the nearest cross street please call and let them know. GPS and online maps are not always accurate, so the nearest cross street and any directions or details that you feel will help them are greatly appreciated and necessary for our drivers (i.e. low bridges, unmarked roads, landmarks, etc.).

Standard Installations

If our delivery team deems any installation as 'non-standard' they will require your approval and signature before proceeding. In addition, an additional fee may be charged depending on the nature of the situation to compensate for additional time spent and materials used, similar to working with any other contractor. 'Non-standard' installations include, but are not limited to, the following scenarios:

Dishwashers

Flooring that is raised or built on top of a pre-existing floor makes dishwasher installations very difficult. Cutting off legs of the old dishwasher may be required for removal, but will only be performed with your authorization and signature. There is no guarantee that your dishwasher can be installed if your floor is raised too high, so please discuss this possibility with your salesperson so you can purchase a dishwasher that has more flexibility for your particular installation needs. If a dishwasher installation is beyond the scope of our trained professionals, we might insist on refunding your delivery fee and leaving the project for your own contractor. As a conscientious delivery crew, we always choose to error on the side of protecting your property and avoiding a sloppy installation.

Gas Ranges and Dryers

Gas valves must be located in the appropriate position behind the appliance, as we cannot reposition or manipulate any gas line. We will not touch gas valves on the outside of the house and be responsible for restarting your pilot lights.

Electric Ranges and Dryers

Hardwiring ranges and dryers does not meet the required regulations. We come prepared with 3 prong ($19.95) and 4 prong receptacles ($29.95) which must be installed and will hang loose, but safely, behind the unit. This nominal fee is significantly less than hiring an electrician, so please cooperate with our installers who insist on following local code. Look behind your appliance...If there is a 220v outlet, there will be no additional charges. New cords must always be purchased (3 Prong - $12.95, 4 Prong - $16.95), even with a receptacle installation, as we never take the risk of using an old and possibly frayed cord.

Washing Machines

Old fill hoses can leak or burst. Queen insists on protecting your property by using only new hoses for every one of our washer installations. Some machines come with new rubber hoses, while many do not, so be prepared to purchase new rubber or stainless steel ones for a small fee. If you insist on using your old hoses, that is not a problem, however we will only put the unit in place and you must sign and indicate that you will be hooking up the hoses yourself. 5 foot fill hoses are always used, which is longer than the standard 4 foot; however some tight spaces require longer fill hoses and drain hose extensions for a small fee (i.e. laundry centers).

Refrigerators

Refrigerator water lines can only be connected to copper tubing (no charge for install) or via poly line to a shut-off valve behind the refrigerator (small fee for materials). The installers can run a new water line with copper tubing for $79.95.

Inclement Weather

Please understand that our hard-working delivery crew cannot control inclement weather and traffic conditions. If emergencies arise you will be notified and rescheduling arrangements will be made to the best of our abilities. Completing all of our deliveries is a commitment we always keep, and we never intend to inconvenience any of our customers.

Scratch & Dent Appliances

Since Scratch & Dent appliances have pre-existing damage, please make sure to fill out a damage detail form with your salesperson. Our drivers take great pride in protecting your purchases, one of the main reasons we do not sub-contract our delivery team.

Removals

Removals of old appliances are $5 for each piece ($15 for Refrigerators) or can be taken outside for your bulk trash pickup at no charge.

  • All merchandise must be inspected and tested at the time of delivery.
  • Queen Appliance is not responsible for customer installation errors.
  • GOOD STOCK RETURNS
  • All dimensions must be approved for all major appliances. All no-fit and good stock returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee plus a re-delivery charge, if applicable. Merchandise must be in its original condition and include all original packing materials, accessories, product manuals and warranty cards. There will be no refund for labor, delivery and/or installation services for good stock returns.
  • DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
  • If you receive a product that is functionally defective upon delivery you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange*. After this period, the manufacturer requires in-home service. If the appliance is deemed non-repairable by the manufacturer it will be replaced in accordance with their individual service/return policies.
  • DAMAGED MERCHANDISE
  • If you receive a cartoned product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is not replaceable** you must contact your sales associate within 72 hours for an exchange***. After this period, the manufacturer does not authorize damage returns. If you receive a product that is cosmetically damaged and the part is replaceable**, you have 14 days from the time of delivery to request a replacement part at no charge.
  • Queen Appliance reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise at any time and for any reason. In rare cases, some appliances are non-returnable.
  • * Scratch & Dent appliances and Special Buy items are often one of a kind and sold at significant discounts, therefore if no exact replacement model is available you may apply the credit for that appliance toward a different model. Queen Appliance will always work to provide the best value possible, however any difference in product price is the responsibility of the customer.
  • ** Examples of replaceable cosmetic parts include, but are not limited to:
    • Handles
    • Knobs
    • Panels
    • Feet/Leveling Legs
    • Escutcheon Plate/Panel
    • Toe Kick/Kick Plate
    • etc
  • *** Scratch & Dent and other unboxed items are subject to the agreement at the time of sale. Customer must sign that the appliance arrived in the same condition that it was purchased. If any additional damage is noticed, please contact your sales associate immediately at the time of delivery. Returns after the time of delivery are subject to a re-delivery fee. Damage returns will not be authorized after 72 hours, although replacement parts can be ordered up to 14 days from the time of delivery. Queen Appliance reserves the right to determine if a cosmetic part is to be replaced or if the product should be returned instead.

  • BILLING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Payments are to be made to Queen Appliance without any deduction or discount other than as stated in these Terms or in the relevant invoice or statement.
  • Online Orders: The balance of the invoice must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
  • In-Store / Phone Orders (Factory-Direct / New In Box Orders): A deposit of 50% of the invoice price must be paid when placing an order, in order for us to place the order with the vendor. The remaining balance of 50% must be paid within 15 days or at the time of delivery (whichever comes sooner).
  • In-Store / Phone Orders (Open Box / One-Of-A-Kind): A deposit of 5% of the item price must be paid when placing an order, in order to temporarily hold the product for 15 days maximum. An additional 45% deposit must be made within the first 15 day period (bringing the deposit total to 50%), in order to continue to hold the product. The product must be paid in full within 30 days from placing the order or at the time of delivery (whichever comes sooner).
  • Should these terms not be met, we reserve the right to cancel your order and release any product holds at our discretion. A full refund for all deposits made will be provided back to you via the original payment method used.
  • STORAGE CHARGES
  • There are no storage charges for items held in our warehouse as long as the item is paid in accordance with the Billing Terms and Conditions listed above.
  • CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
  • We accept the following credit card payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
  • FINANCING PAYMENT
