First impression is that the new refrigerator is beautiful to look at! It seems easier to stay organized with the adjustable shelving and the fact that the shelves are higher makes it easy to see everything. Very easy to install. Love it!

Although the refrigerator is doing its job in keeping our food cold, we have had an issue with the door seals. Neither has a tight seal, and has been that way since the unit was installed. I am hoping that the problem gets resolved soon.

This built in fridge has plenty of room, quiet motor and reliable cooling. I have had refridgerators with the water/ice in the door, but I had found them to be a bit messy. This refridgerator has the ice maker in the lower freezer drawer, which works well for my family. It is attractive and easy to clean. I do recommend this product.

We have had several service calls on our new fridge. Still waiting on a new control board. The first call was to try and correct the door open switch. The light will not turn on until the door is open 45 degrees, which is also the switch that senses the Door Open Alarm, which doesn't work anyway, hence the new control board. The service guy told me there is nothing they will do to fix the door light switch. Also, they dented the front of the fridge installing it. No problem, we'll get a new door right out. The first replacement door arrives damaged several weeks later, without the actual stainless overlay, which is the cosmetic cover to the door that was dented in the first place. No problem, we'll get you a new overlay. New overlay arrives, damaged. Second service call is due the fridge now working at all. Serviceman says most likely cause by freezer door being left ajar (remember the door alarm?) and condenser freezing up. Leaving it off overnight thawed it out, and it's working again. But now I have a $6000 refrigerator I don't trust.

Bought to replace same model that was 12 yrs. old. Liked the old one, love this one. The look is clean and great in our modern kitchen, and it does it's work silently, with no fuss, and perfectly.

I bought this product under 2 years ago and paid around 7K. Already need to replace the computer board for the ice maker which does not work. Cost is 450.00. And given no guarantee that it will not happen again. I think gone are the days when paying more money for a product gave you quality.

I guess it's too much to expect a $6K product to operate for at least 12 months without a problem. The unit was making an intermittent high-pitched ringing noise which was eventually tracked down to be a long tube vibrating behind the back wall. The tech repaired this by taking off the back cover and adding a 1/2-inch high styrofoam spacer between the tube and the wall (really - they can't do this in the factory?). Now the freezer is leaking water from the bottom, probably a line to the ice maker. Unfortunately the unit is out of warranty because I pre-bought during a Pacific Sales special, so this will be a $200 repair. I love the look and refrigeration performance of this product but an really disappointed with these quality issues.

I usually love kitchenaid products..but..purchased this rather expensive refrigerator and after 6 mos already had to get a service person out. Changing the water filter, located all the way at the floor level of the fridge, is impossible!! Bad design, not worth the aggravation for $6000.

We purchased this unit to replace an earlier model that was 12 years old and had broken down and could not be repaired. We chose this model because it matched our other appliances and fit in a custom designed space. The new model is light years ahead of the previous model. The design and craftsmanship of the interior space, the compartments, the ice maker and the freezer with its rubber mat to catch water and ice are far superior. We were almost obligated yet hesitant to purchase this model but are extremely pleased with the end result. It also runs very quietly.
