I was skeptical with Broil Kings claim that depite these being stainless steel the grills will retain heat so well that they sear the meat. I needed to replace the cast iron grills on my Regal and didnt want to have to replace them again in the next 5 years. becuase im lazy and dont season my grills the way I should. So Sear marks or not I went for the stainless steel rods. Im a believer now. They leave dark sear marks just like the cast irion grills that i had before. They are so much easier to clean. And the BBQ cooks like new again. Love them
